About the Job:
Westin Consulting is a young marketing/software development firm seeking a full-time web application developer. The ideal candidate is has a varied skill set, experienced in framework-based development, has Ruby on Rails experience or is eager to learn RoR.
We are seeking a developer who enjoys being challenged, thinks critically and has a passion for creating easy-to-use web applications. If your skills fit the below criteria and you are looking for a challenging and rewarding work environment, we look forward to hearing from you.
Requirements:
- a positive, “can-do” attitude
- ability to multi-task and juggle projects
- framework-based development experience
- strong understanding of MVC architecture
- previous experience in dynamic languages like Python, Ruby or PHP
- strong desire to work in BDD style environment
- prior experience in Ruby on Rails or strong desire to learn
- understanding of SQL and SQL performance tuning
- Rspec & Cucumber experience or strong motivation to learn
